your 15 minutes of fame on lemonbarleystrawberry

hello golden bunny with two oranges in your tummy.

this is going to be MY year.

yayness.

waking up at 8am for fyp was torturous. fortunately, i always have my comrades with me.

comrades who know how to enjoy life.

having rice in the morning is way too much for me, which explains why i couldnt finish my food and had to laosai twice later in the day.

people around me have been urging me to eat more, more, MORE, to the point that i feel rather stressed just by thinking about food.

i woke up this morning with NO appetite for anything, even water and that really scared me. i’m not usually like that, i do love eating breakfast. i’m not anorexic and i have no intention to be.

and you hear fat people complaining about being fat all the time. skinny people dont necessarily have it easy either, especially those who know the importance of having the right mass but find it so hard to reach there, you know what i mean?

so anyway, after some discussion over breakfast, we went to shop for some free gifts for our experiment subjects - probably the best part of the whole freaking year doing this project.

ohh i love party shops.

and how can i not? just look at these…

:) :) :)

even the babyboomer got high when she saw the HUGE bag of candies. that must be at least two kilos, i tell you.

and it got even better when we started packing.

but that only lasted for a bit because we wanted to leave it till after chinese new year to do it properly.

and i had some old friends to meet.

old friends who took FOREVER to buy their new year clothes.

zzz.

jason happily discussing jeans with the salesman in the changing room. (ok that sounds kinda wrong.)

me looking grumpy outside, trying not to fall asleep from the boredom. now i know how boys feel when they go shopping with their girlfriends.

but i still had it easy, especially when compared to hungry derek, who nearly fainted from not having anything to eat till about 4pm. we settled for the most convenient choice - macdonald.

so of course i just had to indulge in the golden goodness.

wheeeeeeee!

after the WHOLE day floating from one shop to another, looking at boring but ridiculously priced branded clothes in town, we headed for…

ah…as promised.

amantha and i shared the wasabi prawn and pesto chicken pizzas between us, which for once (for me at least), turned out to be a wise choice.

the pasta dishes paled in comparison.

and bak kwa?

NO, i’m not that adventurous.

i dont even like normal bak kwa to start with, yikes!

sending sweetie pie jessica off to poland with this pretty scarf in my favourite HAPPY COLOURS. ah…i think exchange programmes are probably the BEST thing in one’s university life.

for some unknown reason, i’ve been missing taiwan these few days. not the food or sights or even the shopping, but the whole…hmm…feeling and memories and all that, you know what i mean?

i’m trying to put a finger to why i would suddenly have this yearning after like…two years? and i’m trying to come to terms with it.

anyway, to happier things.

some of my best friends at work, without whom i wouldnt have enjoyed my internship as much.

even now, i’m smiling to myself as i look at their faces in these photos.

:) :) :)

random shots.

and us fooling around, as usual.

finally, it was time to go home.

test shot.

before the grand finale.

pardon the horrible picture quality. i think my bimbotic camera is finally wearing out, that poor thing.

:(

now now, back to good old fyp.
